I also have a strong interest in nature photography including close ups in nature. While best known for its farmland, the county contains many nationally recognized and preserved natural areas in the River Hills located in the southern portion. Many of the images in my nature portfolio attempt to capture the serenity and untouched beauty of this area.

Trained as microbiologist, I have a career as a scientific director in a local contract services laboratory that serves the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries.

Photography provides a creative outlet from the structure that is inherent in science. I firmly believe that compelling images exist all around us and my compositions attempt to capture that which we do not see due to our busy lives and day to day familiarity with our surroundings.
